What is the weirdest/creepiest unexplained thing you've ever encountered?

Ok. So I was in West Haven CT one day sitting in my car killing time down near the boat launch at Monahan Pl. It was about 7pm and summer so there was still a few hours of daylight left. Although there are a lot of people in the area all around the harbor, as I could see the I-95 I-91 interchange from that spot. You can see that most people are in their own worlds whizzing around in cars not looking at the world as I was from that perspective. I was maybe the only person at the time just sitting in a car looking out across the harbor at New Haven and East Haven. There are many waterfoul in the area. Geese and Seagulls mainly. The Geese are pretty big and I've seen them get real aggressive if people make the mistake of going over to them and trying to feed them. I notice way over near the highway what I at first thought was just another gull flying out over the water moving away from the shore right about in the middle of the harbor just as far from me on the west side of it as it was from the east side of it. So I'm watching it move steadily further and further from the shore and I'm waiting for it to flap it's wings cause it looks at first as if it were gliding. But after a protracted period of time as it got further from the center of the harbors shoreline it was getting closer to where I was. Then I thought for a moment what I was seeing was an rc plane because its velocity and altitude and direction never wavered, never varied, never changed at all. But as it got closer to where I was I could see that it wasn't an rc plane or a bird. It was a sphere. Judging from it's distance from me I would have to say it was probably about 3FT (1 meter) in diameter. It had nothing projecting from it, no lights nothing. It's surface appearance was of a color that made it difficult to see. It was greyish like unpainted metal, smooth but not shiny. Anyway I watched this thing as long as I could head out over long island sound as it moved out perpendicular to the shore from where it originally came. It took several minutes because it wasn't traveling very fast. About the speed of a gliding gull. But it seemed inorganic it moved very precisely. I thought about it many times since then and I wondered had it come right through New Haven? Would no one have noticed? It was between 50-100FT above the water. Never changed an inch the entire time. I wondered, could this thing be circling the earth day and night, changing it's angle slightly with each orbit so it scans every inch of the planet? Are there more or just this one? That's my weird story.
