Oof I used to do this a lot (I still do it but less) because my mother is pretty overprotective too. I'm the oldest child, but she lets my brothers do basically whatever they want. I never understood it because I was never a troublemaker or anything like that. I'm 19 and will be moving out for university pretty soon. I think she realizes that because I'm actually an adult now she can't really stop me from doing anything, so her grip on me has loosened recently. I've started hanging out with friends and am actually starting to date, I'm happier than I've been in a long time. All this to say I kinds know how you feel. Just know that you ARE a total rockstar :D
