What were your aspirations before you joined and how did that work out for you after you joined?

When I join, I wanna be able to stick it out in response for a few years, cause PCDA probation period will mostly be university work, so the actual solidification of knowledge and experience will come after it. I'll also look to take a sergeants exam and sit on the pass for a while till I feel I'm ready to take on a promotion board. Something about becoming a sergeant right out of probation doesn't sit right with me. After a few years of being a sergeant, I'll look to take the inspectors exam and take on another promotion board. If successful, that's where I'll see out the rest of my career because fuck politics.

Being realistic, I'll stay in response till I hit top band pay and fuck off to traffic with a wealth of experience and courses under my belt. No TSG because I can't see myself sitting in a carrier all day, feels like a mobile office job to me. Firearms is a bit of, do the job you're paid to do and watch your career crash and burn around you for the next three years. I have my reservations about VCTF type units which I won't go further into. I also love cars, being sneaky and looking for trouble so traffic's always been a right fit.
