What or Who made you quit your last job?

Worked for a small company that made an abrupt shift to requiring monthly travel. Had worked there over 10 years and was pretty good at what I did for the company, made my goals ect. My SO had a job that often required weird hours and some travel, our children younger at the time. Without local family in the area, this would obviously not be a workable solution. I stated that I would not be able to accomodate that drastic of a change in my job description. I was asked by the owner of the company if that was a "Willful Refusal" , I said yes. It was a small company (husband and wife co-owners), and the wife was really pissed that I didn't just roll over as several other employees did. The fact that I stood up to her caused some other employees to challenge the drastic policy and job description shift. Live in a "right to work state" so she basically made my life sheer hell, like lost assistant help, new lead generation vanished, projects tossed to someone else, weekly questioned about anything, and insane oversight on all matters. Had enough and quit.
