Honestly, her power is interesting, but it's narrative poison without very strong restrictions, which no longer exist. It worked in Worm because she was a background character working from the shadows fighting something that makes her look powerless (and, crucially, she effectively lost). In Ward she could achieve literally anything she wanted to with a minimum of effort because there's no longer any blind spots and the things they're now fighting are a totally different kind of enemy that Contessa could rip through like soggy tissue paper.

In a story that gave the "I win everything I try at" power to somebody who wasn't a small child, and so had a Contessa with good decision making abilities and a stable emotional state, none of our other characters would have agency. There's lots of ways she could go away, but she's gotta go away. Maybe she dies, maybe she's rescued and decides the only way she can escape is permanent depowering, maybe she builds a space rocket and goes to live on Mars where her power won't even work, whatever, but she's gotta go.
