What Will WOTC Give Us In 5.5 That Nobody Asked For

Not to disrespect your fair opinion, but the commentor above you wasnt asking you that to get your personal take on the game. You were originally talking about why the game is so popular. You claimed it's because of YouTube, Stranger Things, &c...and Manwards84 was saying the system was popular on its own in the beginning, which is true. It was lauded as a fresh, streamlined iteration when it first hit. Whether or not you or I like it is irrelevant, it was very popular well before Stranger Things and CR.

As a sidenote, I really wish y'all would quit pretending Pathfinder was a fresh new game. It is 3.5. They took the OGL and made 3.5, the errata, and gave it a new name. There are 2e clones out there too.

My own personal take: Fifth Edition is the result of people thinking, discussing, play testing new core mechanics that no one had ever thought of before. It is brilliant in a lot of ways, just for the ingenuity involved in its development. I don't just like gaming...I like rules systems and I like new, interesting ways to roll dice. That is a big part of the hobby for me. I am excited for 5.5 or whatever it will be just to see what new mechanics they dish out. To be honest, pouring into new rulebooks is like half the fun for me.
