What to do with black beans

I grew up in a Hispanic family so there's this thing called "casamiento de arroz y frijoles". Literally, marriage of rice and beans. If you have a little oil or butter, add some to a pan. Heat it up and add in some of your onion, sliced (for easy removal if you don't like biting into onion). Once the onions are translucent, you can take them out if you want. Now, add in your beans and feel free to much them around a bit. Helps to soften them. Then, add in your rice. Add salt/pepper to taste. Cook your chicken leg and steam sliced carrot and broccoli. Slicing your potato and throwing it into a pan with butter and/or oil and adding salt/pepper gets you nice crispy round fries with a soft center if cut thick.
