What is with the international Indian med student mafia?

to get into a med school, students need to appear for the exam called NEET. just like JEE but for medical students. it takes place once a year and more than 1.5 million are appearing for it this year. it's a very difficult exam and only the marks that you get in this exam determine whether or not you get an admission, which means, extra curriculars are not taken into consideration. normally a student joins coaching classes when in the 11th grade for the exam's preparation. towards the end of the 12th grade both, the student and the parents come to know about the harsh truth that the competition out there won't do any good for the student to make his way into a government college. that is when the parents start receiving text messages about how MBBS is much more cheaper in countries like Russia and Phillipines than in a private college in India. the coaching centres have a tie up with these people and provide the parents' phone numbers to them. and the next thing you know, the kid's off to a foreign country where they spend 5 years learning. when/if they come back to India, they remain jobless because of lack of experience about the common diseases and procedures carried out in India.
