My point was that we are really likely to have a very dead bequin instead of a very sad one if she went down prostitution as a job, realistically. Like, there are definitely other horrible jobs that don't put you in close contact with people who can decide to kill you, such as sanitation gigs. Even if she didn't know the why's or the biological facts, she can probably pick up on the fact that dudes are a lot nastier with her than with other women or do x shitty thing to her more and potentially getting stuck in a room with a client who literally doesn't care about you as a human being often gets you murdered. If people treated me as a freak, I would be going out of my way to avoid people not be in literally one of the most up close and personal (not to mention crazy dangerous) jobs around.
