What do I do with my off-arm when hitting forehands?

First thing I would do is not take advice from random redditors of varying skill level. Do use your off hand to assist carrying the weight of the racquet when not swinging. Don't consciously push the racquet back with your off hand, which is only there in the backswing to stabilize. Don't think about elbowing someone in the gut. Your power is generated from the legs driving and the torque created from hip shoulder separation. Your off hand will naturally pull in tight to the body as a counterbalance to the weight you have uncoiled away from your body toward the ball. Most actions with your off hand during a forehand will be unconscious actions. The only things I would consciously drill with the off hand would be to always have it on the racquet when you're not swinging and, like another redditor mentioned, extend it away from you to use as a ruler and visual aid, which will lead to more consistent contact.
