What is the worse pain you've ever felt?

tl:dr; Woke up from general anesthesia during dental surgery just as shit started going wrong.

There have been some studies that say us soulless gingers feel pain differently. I am inclined to agree: blunt trauma has never phased me- I barely feel it. Seriously I'll find some stunning bruises on myself where I've walloped something and pure didn't notice. Co-incidentally, intrusive pain (cuts, needles... oh fuck me especially needles) hurts like I cannot begin to describe. Whenever I've had blood drawn or an IV in, moving that arm feels like the entire length of it has barbed-wire instead of a vein.

Anyway, as a kid I was born with four too many canines, they decided to wait till I was all into the adult side (which took a bit for me, I was a young teen) and then putting me out for the extraction. It runs in the family we have roots practically up to the brain, so I needed to be put under and have shit out, then orthodental therapy, before my wisdom teeth impacted. The top maxillary surgeon in the area had taken a look at my xrays and kinda noped fixing that possibly nerve/brain-damaging fustercluck after the fact.

So here I am in a chair when the top left root of the one they were extracting, snapped. This is where I re-enter the building, and the part where I mention to you readers I'm really really resilient to anesthetic. I felt that shit like someone had cracked my skull in half sideways.

After digging around with pointy-probe and needle-nosed whatevers, and breaking it twice more, nobody had noticed my arms twitching, until I opened my eyes and managed what I imagine the noise an about-to-die animal makes. Cue "oh-shit!" from someone, I feel more needles, and the next thing I remember is being at home.

They never got the last fragment out. Over the past 20 years it's been slowly expelling out the side of my jaw.

When I go to the dentist thesedays, I've been asked if I'm cold, because I'll be shaking that hard. It hurt so much I have serious PTSD relating to people poking at my mouth.
