What is the worst casting decision in the history of film or tv?

It's not that I think the books are dumb that bothers me about them, although I do, it's that I find them sexist and weirdly anti-intellectual, as in actually sort of hostile to academics despite ostensibly being about a professor. They put a lot of value on how attractive and athletic characters are even though the characters are supposedly only involved because they're smart, and they never really show the characters acting like actual smart people, they just say "oh yeah that person's a genius."

I don't care about dumb books, I like some stupid-ass shit. I read trashy science fiction, you can't beat me for dumb books. But I guess reading Dan Brown gave me the impression that Dan Brown would think I and basically all my friends and loved ones were huge losers, if that makes sense? The book I read just really bothered me on a values level, so if someone doesn't merely enjoy the books but ADMIRES them it makes me wonder if we have wildly different values.
