What is the worst place to live in America?

My speculation on why opiates and meth and alcohol problems are common in rural US areas around me (such as north Georgia outside of ATL, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Alaska in your case) is because there’s literally nothing to do here.

It’s an absolutely beautiful area with tons of fall foliage, Appalachian/blue ridge mountains, and great weather. Taking light opiates and cruising in the mountains on a cool brisk fall day or just sitting outside is fuckin’ amazing. There’s little industry, and not much to do besides be around nature. Every time I visit my friends “farm” in rural Tennessee about 2 hours away, we have absolutely nothing to do but split a fifth of whiskey, talk shit, feed the barn cats, and walk by the creek. Not many girls or guys our age to talk to, no bars, parks, venues... nothing.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but from my experience in the “problem area” in the US, this is what I believe contributes to our drug problems.
