What was the worst PR move in history?

that does suck a lot but also remember how nations develop. Even Europe and America went through it's child worker stages. It takes time to develop areas especially when their governments actively work to prevent it, and the large amount of rebel groups who regularly go on massive killing sprees for w/e reason. South Africa is doing pretty well now however, it would be so much more farther along if it hadn't been for their former president who sold their mineral/natural resource rights for rock bottom prices. Currently China is the nation which owns those rights but they are the worst to have in that position due to their policy of shipping in their own workers for low skill jobs instead of hiring the locals. They also live in their own camps with their own products/goods so they do not stimulate the local economy. Lastly is the lack of any pollution control or environmental protection which is slowly destroying the land that they are working on. Sadly no one talks about this stuff because they always want to look at Nelson Mandela as some sort of great leader instead of the person who essentially betrayed his own people.
