What is the WORST present you have ever gotten?

Not as dramatic as everyone else here, but my parents have made my relationship with gifts really fucked up

. Every single christmas, they give my siblings something I have begged for. One year, I asked for a ps2. I wanted it so badly. My little brother is disabled and he will ONLY PLAY N64. Like to this day they need to keep finding n64s that still work or he can't play videogames. So they bought him a ps2 the year I asked for it and I had to "Ask permission" to use it even though he refused to touch it. My parents still accuse me of "stealing his PS2".

Last year I nearly lost my mind. I've had a flip phone for years. I am still on my parents plan and I can't afford a new phone. I asked for a used smartphone..ANY smart phone would have been better than what I had, and it was coming to the point where not having one was starting to interfere with my job. My younger sister had an iphone 4 that worked quite well. So what happened? They bought her an Iphone 5. My mom got me one of those NoNos and said it was my "big gift". It was like 150 dollars and I didn't want it, and didn't get anything else because of it. They could have gotten me a used phone for less than 50.

After that, I really got aggressive about the whole gift thing, and after 25 years I think they are starting to get it. My mom apologized for the phone incident. For me, it's not like I need to get nice things, but I feel so slighted when I ask for something and they buy it for my siblings, who don't need it. They have never stiffed me in terms of how much they spend, but they explicitly and actively ignore my wishes and that upsets me.

This last Christmas, instead of buying me gifts, my mom took me out to the city and we went on a shopping day together and she grabbed me a few things. I really preferred that. I like spending time with my family and choosing what I want for Christmas.
