My sisters wedding a year ago in Amsterdam. My sister wanted me to be the maid of honor, and since I was the brides sister she wanted me to wear a red dress to stand out. Her brother in-law's wife, lol doesn't even qualify as her "sister in-law", threw a big fit and 2 days before the wedding told me to go find another dress because she wanted to be the only one wearing a red dress. To be nice and to lighten up the tension, I asked if we can both instead be the "maids of honor" and both wear red dresses. She seemed to agree and was happy with the idea. The day of the wedding I guess she couldn't stand to see someone steal her thunder and be wearing red aswell. So during the formal traditional wedding reception or as Persians call it the Sofreh Aghd, the bride and groom feed each other honey by sticking their pinky fingers in a fancy bowl/dish full of honey. My sister wanted me to be the one to hold the dish full of honey as they carried on with the tradition. The honey was in her brother in-law's wife's hands and as she handed it over to me, purposely spilled the honey all over the gown of my dress, having my crotch area drenched in sticky gooey honey! She then proceeded to act innocent and help with hiding the honey stain by telling me its sticky just stick the dress awkwardly above my crotch area. I was lucky that the gown of my dress had many layers of chiffon and I was able to later on pin the area to the side near my hip and proceed along w the wedding, dancing, socializing as if nothing happened. I later on gave it to the bitch for being so insecure that god forbid someone wear the same color as her!
