What would you change in the ending ?

  • More people should've died. Not the population, but the main cast. The only main cast members that died were Eren, Hange, and Zeke. Everything was too hectic for everyone to survive like that. Should've been a suicide mission where many of the members should have died trying to defeat Eren. The warrior unit (definitely Reiner) should have died. As well as their families because let's be honest, that was some serious plot armor.
  • I thought Ymir was a deity, not a human who bumped into a damn worm. Definitely should've rewritten that aspect of the titan source.
  • Ymir (jaw titan) was pretty much brushed away with no back story of what happened after she went to Marely. Hated that.
  • Eren underutilized the Warhammer powers. That was disappointing.
  • The last time we saw the worm, Reiner was hugging it, then magically disappeared next chapter. Need explanation.
  • Eren talking with everyone for the last time. Not just Armin. That was a huge slap in the face. Definitely should have talked with Mikasa a lot more. Reiner too.
  • Get rid of the last 8 extra pages. The last page was beautiful and conclusive as it was, never hated that ending.
  • Since the founder can control the anatomy of Eldians and pull strings through time, it would've been nice (maybe a small fanservice) if the time Eren and Mikasa spent time in the paths, left her with a kid. It would be a lot more satisfying if that was their kid in those extra pages. What seems to be her remarrying makes no logical sense to her character arc and redundant of having a strong powerful bond that Ymir was waiting 2000 years for to end the curse to do something like that to her character.
  • Many people hate Eren killing 80% of the population and Armin thanking him. I wouldn't want to change that for anything. Jean explained perfectly why he did it and I agree with him. Eren is a brother to Armin and he sacrificed himself so that they may all live a long life. Why wouldn't he thank him? He killed people as well. Doesn't matter in the end.
  • Annie was utterly useless and became a filler character. She was a pivotal character in S1 and was brushed under the rug for 3 seasons. She served no purpose in the last arc but to cover the scouts from the Jaegerists. Wasted potential.

Up until I read the last arc, I never criticized this show in any way. It was perfectly written and not one detail was wasted. Everything introduced came to a full circle and was connected with the story in one way or another. I honestly don't understand how the ending turned out like this. I don't hate it. Don't get it twisted. But it could have been A LOT better.
