What would it take for you to abandon Communism and become a Capitalist?

Do I feel an angry tone in your reply? I hope I'm wrong.

Yeah, they're called billionaires leeching off society.

No one is saying everyone is equal and everything is fair. That's not communism. In fact communism requires things not be equal because people are not equal. Because equal things is unfair to unequal people. That being said, difference in share doesn't make things bad, if you believed that you'd hate the fuck out of capitalism because it's as bad as you can get in that way

Not only billionaires, there are many politicians, no matter the political colour, just look at all the communist people in power what did they earn equally. Last phrase... sorry, I don't get what are you trying to say .. ESL you know...

If you say about paying equaly for things that are not equal, like healthcare, yes, I agree to pay my share even if I won't need a complex surgery and someone else does. If you say that I need to work harder so others can have the same things that I do, I don't agree to that.

You didn't actually practice communism. How often did you vote? Did you have a state? Did they have money? Problrm is, the failures of state capitalism is not a failure of a system that isn't state capitalism.

I had no choice, I had to practice, it was imposed by the communists. I was a proud youth communist until the system fell. I had the red scarf, then the blue hat, which I don't know the neme in English... Did I vote? for who? There was only one candidate.

Did they have money? Who the leaders, yes, they had tons of money and still in their possession. The government? Even if they had, it wasn't spent on people or roads or hospitals. It was to pay off the external debt on the expense of the citizens.

Competition has been shown to stifle innovation in capitalism. Not only a reduction of knowledge in public space, but industry secrets, espionage etc... Cooperation and public sector works have built the modern world as it is today not private competition. Private competition in capitalism steals public ideas and then locks them down to create vendor chains and company reliance and proprrietary goods with creeping innovation.

So who did more innovations, capitalists or communists?

Industry secrets, espionage? Are you so naive to think that the USSR and China didn't steal secrets and didn't have espionage? Really?

Monopolies pop up without stopping them and price fixing occurs to sustain lack of innovation and consumer control. Your understasnding of capitalism is an imaginary fairy tale.

Well, that is your opinion and you are entitled to that. I don't claim to be an economist, but hey this is Reddit. You also are in a basement somewhere, built by a capitalistic company and you're writing on a phone / pc on a soft that is made by ... oh ...

I wrote somewhere here.. I don't know, I lost count on who did I replied to, but I said that I'm against monopolies and there should be a regulation in place , like in Europe I believe that when a company reaches a certain size, it should split.

Employees are in demand, but they don't hire unless they cheap, run down the price, student debt locks people in, they don't improve. It's full of economic entrapment and it's bad for everyone around.

This is not true, and if you were in a position of managing people would know that keeping a good knowledgeable employee happy is more efficient in long term that replacing cheap labor often. Plus that cheap labor, once they learn the skills or makes more experience, will look for a better payed job, because they want to provide for their families.

It takes 4-6 months for a new employee to fully accommodate into a company, time in which the company basically is paying them to learn. Then they leave, because competition pays better ... see? competition.

Monopolies are the epitome of everything capitalism strives for. If you don't like monopolies, you're lying to yourself about the whole thing being fantastic because you can see why it's not.

I never said that capitalism is the best or wow capitalism is fantastic. I'm saying that capitalism is better than communism. I also said that monopolies are bad, it's like the lack of choice when you go to vote in a uni-party system.
