What would it take for you to admit the Bitcoiners were right and you were wrong?

progression and adoption in the past 10 years

It is your position no new idea will ever take 10+ years to achieve widespread adoption again?

What about self driving cars? We should expect everybody to be using those in the next few years or they will be a failure? I think they will take at least 10 years before we start seeing them around. Another 10+ before everybody is using them.

Uh huh. Keep moving the goal post.

What are you talking about? VR has taken 30 years to get to this point. Why are you ignoring 25 of those years as if they don't matter? And it's still a niche technology. It might take another 10 years before we are all using it, if ever.

These things were introduced a long time ago. But the progress in the past 10 years?

You think there is something special about the time we're living in, where new technologies spread much faster than before. That is true of selfie apps. Bitcoin is a much more technologically complex problem. Like VR/self driving cars etc. A lot of the things people want to do with Bitcoin, can't even be done yet. Like 21 Inc. wants to put a Bitcoin miner in every electronic device. That's a long way off from being practical. The fucking network can't even handle current transaction volumes and few people use it! It's not even ready for the whole world.

Ignoring technology, Bitcoin hasn't had a killer app/idea yet. The iPhone was less a technological breakthrough than a product/design/marketing breakthrough. That shit already existed, they just put it together beautifully and made everybody want one. Same with the iPad. Tablets existed forever.

Bitcoin hasn't had it's iPhone moment. Nobody has invented something that makes everybody want Bitcoins. That's not Moore's Law problem necessarily. It's a product problem. It could take a long time for the right product person/company to build that.
