What would happen to Oklahoma Politics if Republican dropped the abortion issue and the Democrats dropped the gun issue?

as if being anti-abortion is an "extreme view" in oklahoma

I never said being anti-abortion is an extreme view. I said stating that "a large portion of the oklahoma population really does want to live in an theocratic police state." is an extreme manipulation of other's view points.

In many ways, the people clinging to political "moderation" are the worst group of all, since they're equally predisposed to compromising with the wrong answer as the right one.

The world is not black and white. You can not fit political conversations into a math equation. Recognizing that people of differing opinions have very valid reasons to hold onto their beliefs is an extremely important part of the democratic process. We used to have some sort of political discourse in this country, but with the advent of social media echo chambers and op eds being pushed as "news" we seem to have forgotten that.
