What would you say to someone(in this community) saying they wish "psychological interventions" to make people attracted to the opposite sex were real?

I'd say it's a fairly classic human desire to want to change things that cannot be changed. People always want to, whether it's wanting to take back something they did, change the set things about their body, or change what they want.

I probably wouldn't change my sexuality to not be attracted to guys. I like it, dicks are great. But there are cool things about being straight that I will never get to experience, so if I could pick those things up, I'd like that too.

As for the 'identity being threatened' thing, isn't it just the logical reversal of how people make fun of the ultra-heterosexual guys that are uncomfortable to even discuss homosexuality. What you're attracted to isn't who you are. Your interests, habits, and accomplishments aren't set by your attractions. Even if they're stereotypical, it's still just what you're into.
