What would a world without romance look like?

That's a really interesting question. If you think about it, most things would change. Romance is one of those things that most people spend their whole life searching for. It inspires a large majority of art, be it paintings, music, movies/shows, books, whatever, romance is a part of most of them. Without romance, that would all change. Marriage probably wouldn't exist. The whole idea of two people getting married and spending the rest of their lives together is due to romantic love (most of the time). The way people raise children would probably change, instead of two parents raising their child it might be more communal. Romantic love comes from evolution, if you think about it. We have a desire to find "the one" and settle with them the rest of our lives, breed with them exclusively etc. so obviously at some point it was beneficial for us to do so. Without romantic love that would all change. If you look at species that don't have a partner they breed with exclusively, things are a little different in the way their offspring are raised. It's different amongst every species of course but it could potentially be something like chimps where the males mate with whichever female is fertile at that time. It's more beneficial to the survival of the species to try and make as many babies as possible. Maybe we were like that in the past, but obviously it's different now. Maybe the mothers would work together to raise their children as a group, rather than just the mum and dad. And perhaps people would focus more on things like work and study instead of trying to find "the one". Maybe we would be able to make more rapid advancements in technology if people weren't distracted by love. Who knows lol
