Of course, good relationships are always built on communication and self-reliance. What these people want is a person who can take care of them and "fix" their problems since they believe their problems come from a lack of intimacy and sex. Of course this is going to result in a very one-sided relationship, and their problems won't get better, probably worse.

The thing is though, once you find a long-term partner you find someone who can comfort you and love you no matter how bad it gets. I don't claim that being single is always terrible, but in my opinion a good relationship is just objectively better. I think I would be very miserable if I was never able to be in one.
