What X-Rated history facts don't they teach you in school?

However the difference between Japan and Germany/Turkey is primarily that Japan was executing atrocities to conquered people during war. Humans have always acted like savages to conquered people during war. Germany and Turkey however genocided their minority populations; Germany used their minority as a way of promoting nationalism however the basis of the Armenian Genocide is a little harder to pinpoint but it does have some similarities most genocides do. It seems to stem from the loss of Ottoman control of the Balkans and Caucasus and having an influx of Muslim refugees from these regions. Essentially the Turks soon realized they had too accept these refugees and it led to resettling these refugees into regions which were predominately Armenian in Anatolia. Since the Armenian Christians were better off the Muslim refugees this led to a lot of resentment amongst the Armenians by the muslims in Anatolia. Also it didn't help that a majority of these muslim refugees into Ottoman Turkey faced persecution from the christians before (re)arriving into the Ottoman Empire. Sorry for the history lesson if you already knew this; but there is a difference and this difference is probably why Japan gets a little more slack for their atrocities by the international community.
