What was your AskReddit question that you thought would take off, but didn't?

Well, me and my best friend had just left Fred Meyer and were, to be honest, a little high. We started getting sketched out when we noticed a cop was behind us.. No big deal, we're not speeding or swerving, no lights are out on my friends car as far as I know. After a couple blocks of being tailed this cop pulls up alongside us in in the other lane - on a two land road - and takes a good hard look at us while he's driving beside us and we notice he's talking into his radio.

At this point we're starting to get a little freaked out, but again we're like 'what the Hell, we're not doing anything against the law right now' (except for being slightly stoned, but I don't think the cop could tell). About two minutes later we come to a red light at a four way intersection and this cop is back behind us again. That's when we notice there's also a cop car in front of us on the opposite side of the intersection looking at us... and a cop to our right, and another cop to our left.

Okay, something is definitely fucked here.

As soon as the light turns green, all we see is a bevy of blue and red lights all around us. Okay, shit has officially hit the fan. We're freaking the fuck out. They know we're high. Oh my God, we're going to go to jail or get shot or something. We pull into the gas station parking lot and wait for the shitstorm. All four cop cars pull in alongside and behind and in front of us. The two cops that got out behind us have their fucking guns drawn and pointed at our car. One cop walks up on either side.

"We've got a report of a stolen black Chevy Cavalier, boys. You know anything about that?"

"Um, no officer. This is a Chevy Cobalt."

Fuckers had misidentified my friend's car. The cop on my side says something to the effect of "well, this isn't much fun for you now is it? Better stay out of trouble." And they all just left.

It must have been a pretty impressive sight. Me and my friend, both scrawny-ass 18 year olds in the middle of 4 police cars with lights on. The guy working at the gas station was just looking out the window with a look of horror on his face.

To this day I have no idea what the guy in the Cavalier did to get the wrath of half my small-ass town's police force on him, but it had to be something pretty impressive.
