What is your bad haircut experiences?

Just before I turned 18, I decided that I want to save money by cutting my own hair and not spending on barbers even though my parents were paying for it. Happy with my decision I went out and bought a trimmer which set me back abit but by not going to the barber I would have recovered the cost. Got home and decided that the day was perfect to cut my own hair so I started trimming the middle abit but I couldn't see in the mirror properly what I was doing and I definitely couldn't see the back of my head. All is going well for the first part of the trim and I am gleaming with this idea and how wonderful its going to be to have short hair all the time and never have to worry about styling it. A short time later I realize that I was only cutting one part of my hair and their was a huge chunk of hair missing in the middle of my scalp. I panicked because this was literally a bald patch even though I was trying to go for short hair but I didn't wanna be bald. In my moment of panic I created a few more bald patches all around. The hair in the back of my head was long and because I couldnt see their, it was a mess. I asked my mum to help and she just laughed at me but tried to help and she only made it worse but shaving all my sideburns off. Feeling defeated I decided to go to the barber so he could fix this mess I had created on my head. The barber was shocked at my hair and I was too embarrassed to say that I was cutting my hair at home and blamed my friends for pranking me while I slept. I dont think he believed me at all and said he would have sued his friends. The barber had to cut it super short and I was basically bald. It took 6 months for my hair to grow back to normal length. Worst money saving decision ever.
