What is your best 'standing in line' story?

The wrestler Kane is from my hometown. I was about 8 and he comes back to sign autographs at what was probably the height of his career. My grandfather, who is the former high school principal in town, took my younger brother and I to the event. Kane was handing out photocopied pictures of himself to sign.

We stand in line for a couple of hours and finally make it up to the front, where we are informed that there are no more pictures to sign, but Kane would still shake our hands if we wanted. I was devastated. When we walk up, Kane straightens up in his chair and looks at the ground while saying, "Hello Mr. Taint. I wasn't expecting you." He was trying not to make eye contact with my grandpa (who was much beloved as principal, but a disciplinarian). My grandpa tells Kane how proud he is of him, and then explains that we've been in line all evening and he would really appreciate it if my brother and I could have his autograph, even if it's just on a scrap of paper. Kane nearly knocks the table over to rush to the other side of the tent and pulls out two large glossy photographs of himself and signs them for us. He then thanks my grandpa for being tough on him in school and my brother and I scream with surprise/joy/pride as we walk back to my grandpa's car.
