What is your "bullet fucking dodged" moment?

I was a sweet, nice youth in my late teens /early twenties in most everybody's eyes, but I was also a pathetic little thief at that age.

I got caught good and solid at 23, stopped the behavior and never looked back, but at age 20, I got away with something spectacularly.

I had broken in (forceable entry, had stolen a key) to an office area, and was wandering around the large room of cubicles when a security guard came in; he thought he heard something (he did, me), and called out, and started looking for the noise (me).

I just utterly ACED a full-blown secret-agent skulk. I was ducking/weaving/crawling around cubicles trying to guess where he was and blocking his vision of me; at one point, he walked around a tall stand-alone shelf; I was on the other side, trying to match his moves as he walked all around the shelf. I actually saw him shrug, then heard him say "fuck it, this is stupid", and he left the room.

I couldn't stop smiling... I left without taking anything, grinned like a maniac all the way home. Even though I hate what I did, I'm grinning right now remembering it. It was fucking glorious.
