I had my 8 year old dog put down because he has been fighting leptospirosis for almost 2 weeks but I know he has suffered enough. About a month later my 13 year old dog got diagnosed with stage 4 kidney failure then my other 11 year old dog had surgery in her intestines. They found pieces of scotchbrite and 2 liters of fluid buildup. A few days later we took our 13 year old to be put to sleep because she was really suffering. I planned to have the other one put to sleep as well later that afternoon because she is not recovering from her surgery. She wasn't able to wait for me and passed away just four hours later after the older dog.

I still have three dogs left at home. My only reason for still being physically alive because I know no one will take care of them. Yeah but I'm pretty much completely dead inside now.
