What is your controversial, but positive, opinion on comics?

ooohhhh boy I have a lot.

  1. Grant Morrison's Batman run is way easier to understand than some people make it out to be. It requires some active engagement and thinking from readers, but it's not the elusive, impenetrable quagmire that his detractors make it out to be.

1a. Grant Morrison is the best modern-era DC writer.

  1. Jason Todd is a boring, one-note character who should have stayed dead.

  2. Scott Snyder's run on Batman, besides being pretty silly and contrived, is chock full of the same problems that plagued the entire New 52: banal violence and grimdark posturing.

  3. Brian Azzarello's run on Wonder Woman, besides being grotesque and shallow, is chock full of the same problems that plagued the entire New 52: banal violence and grimdark posturing.

4a. Azzarello turning the Amazons into rapists and baby-murderers is one of the worst plot points in DC history. It's the moral equivalent of turning Batman's' parents into Nazis.

  1. Raven, Beast Boy and Starfire shouldn't be Teen Titans anymore. They should actually let them move on, and focus on characters like Tim Drake, Cassie Sandsmark and Bart Allen. The fact that those three have basically been ignored the past few years is a total travesty.
