what is your experience with TEO (teacher education office) admissions?

UBC staff have not interest in making anything easier for anyone trying to gain admission. They have no incentive to make anything easier. Also, anytime you read about some shortage of French teachers in BC, it's always from the school-boards, who are struggling. However, the needs of the system have NO CONNECTION to the institutions responsible for helping fill that need.

Also, UBC is in the peak of an international student craze, which has a huge impact on local students too, where the university has more demand for their programs than they have supply. So it's a market where they can be completely shit, and still be completely fine.

I am not applying myself, but live with someone who is... and her profile matches yours... I don't have my hopes up as I am discovering that the admissions has nothing to do with credentials or abilities; rather, it's all about how good you are at navigating their bureaucracy. Funny thing is, even the staff are never quite sure how to do it...hence the conflicting messages and confusion...
