What was your 'F*** it, done helping others' moment?

A few months ago I went to buy groceries for my grandmother (because of corona) so I parked outside her building, payed for parking, went up with the stuff I bought, chatted a bit and went down. I then noticed I had gotten a parking ticket, in a Stockholm suburb, on an empty parking lot in the middle of the day because I came down 5 minutes to late. Oh well, so I get in my car and drive home. On the way I get pulled over for a routine car checkup by the police. They do a thorough search, twisting and shaking everything on my old beat up Saab and of course find lots of faults. I had 1 month to get all the parts and have it fixed and inspected. Cost me a lot to buy parts to fix stuff I would never have bothered with otherwise. There I just thought damn... this is what I get for trying to be a good person and helping my grandma...
