I’m pretty sure his calf hit the ground before he went over that defender, therefore making it a safety. There was that one and a horrifically missed face mask near the red zone. That’s two missed calls that cost Texas points. The Big XII refs had to make shit up because of how badly they botched it. All of that to say- acting like Alabama getting all the other penalties called on them means the calls still didn’t overall go in their favor is silly. Calls that were on could have been scoring plays still got missed, and they deserved the ones that were called. I was surprised at how messy they played- extremely undisciplined.

Now, do i think that’s a conspiracy? No, I think refs are just overall pretty awful. But there are observable patterns. I just don’t think those patterns are conspiracy so much as incompetence.
