finished engineering degree with no work experience whatsoever. sent out my resume, only got 1 call for an interview, didn't pan out.

uncle hooked me up with a low-level job at his small firm. boss was typical old school indian. cheap, controlling. i had to pay $600 for training but they barely trained me. had to purchase my own ppe. low salary and if you didn't check your paystub, accounting wud steal a few hundred from it. was basically oncall from 7am to 3pm every day but i wud often get as little as 25hrs/wk.

anyway, because the boss bids so low, the firm was a favourite for our municipality and a few GC's. so i worked on a lot of major projects. next hiring season, i was gone.
