I only discovered Teen Titans/Go roughly a year ago, by accident. It seems the show released a year or two after I stopped watching cartoons as I was then in high school/etc.

But back to "a year ago", for the year and a half before that, I used to watch Adventure Time/Regular Show and Teen Titans Go! was the show on before them, so I'd catch the last couple of minutes of it before AT started. I thought it was a silly name for a tv show when I saw it in the TV's electronic program guide, but upon watching I found it interesting and funny, keen for more. I had no prior knowledge of these character's existence at the time except for Robin obviously- I thought they made the others up just for this show, then threw Robin in there to have an anchoring character.

Then I got bored with AT/RG as I started seeing doubles/repeats of ones I'd seen before, all the time, so I decided to watch a whole TT Go! ep and thought it was kinda good, just a bunch of random characters jerking around, some kind of not-quite-superheroes or whatever. I thought Raven was supposed to be a cat or something (she always had her hood up in episodes I saw then).

Then about 5 days/episodes later, without me noticing they subbed out Go! for what I came to find as the 'original' Teen Titans show, it kinda blew my mind at first cause the voices were the same but they looked different, and I'd had a few drinks. After a while I figured out what was going on.

Despite never being real interested in superhero genre stuff, I came to love Teen Titans very quickly, and at this point I've seen about 3 seasons worth of scattered episodes, I've actually stopped seeking the show out, and am going to save the rest for later, maybe I'll watch 1 'new' episode a year.

With time they switched back to Go! and I was looking forward to it, but anticipation quickly changed to horror as I came to understand what they did to these characters for TTG, and I no longer found it funny, plus kinda hard to watch. TTG has some great moments/episodes, but the way they torture starfire x robin/bbrae shippers, and seem to disrespect the original show, is not nice. And I once saw a comment somewhere pointing out how Robin is kinda obsessively creepy, I can't unknow that.
