What was/is your graduate salary in your first job out of university?

International Baccalaureate, 37. 667 for HL Chem, Physics, and Geography.

Graduated July 2022 with first class in BSc Geology. Not a Russell Group uni.

Now working as an offshore geology technician. Pro rata about £19k assuming I do a 2-week assignment offshore every month of the year. Rising to £22k after 6 assignments and necessary CPD.

Anywhere 10-21 days away each time, with a guaranteed 7 uninterrupted rest days after each assignment. I still get paid my basic salary even if I'm not assigned anywhere.

It's not much but being away and catered for 2 out of 4 weeks every month lets me save on utilities and groceries at home. Having 7 days off lets me spend more time to do stuff than having to plan things around weekends.

Also I get to tell people I take a helicopter to work which is kinda cool.
