What is your job and salary? And do you like your job?

Technical Author, been doing it for just over a year. Started on £32k, now just under £35k.

I was a project engineer before in the civil service but fuck that place, the positives are heavily outweighs by the negatives though I’m lucky my job can be done remotely (my previous job could too) so aren’t really feeling the effects of Covid like many others are.

Love my job, company, colleagues - I loved my old colleagues and job too for the record. They’ve handled this situation pretty well in all fairness and my work is still steady enough to keep me properly occupied.

Can see this being my career leading to self-employment; I’ve already had conversations with some companies to do work on the side, though I’m keeping it quiet for now, if it’s too big a job I’ve already said that it could be something they use my company for in which case I’d like to hope that’d get me some nice brownie points for bringing in a whole new revenue stream (again, just depends how much work is actually needed to be done).
