In fifth grade we were reading The Chocolate Boy as a class. During one of the more suspenseful parts my teacher stops abruptly and tells us to shut the book and guess what happens next. I have always been really good at critical reading and to me it was obvious what was going to happen next. She accused me of reading ahead and ruining it for the class. This same teacher also made me walk around the playground alone during recess because she said my hand writing was unprofessional. She also made me write “Wednesday” over and over again because I wrote my E’s as backwards 3’s (I thought it was cool) and laughed at me to another teacher. Bitch.
