My craziest and most memorable trip was my first experience with dimitri, or any psychedelic. My best friend and I had obtained a small amount of DMT. We planned to trip on his private marina under the stars. I loaded the crazy looking contraption dubbed "the machine" and meditated to calm my pre blast-off anxiety. My friend friend turned on some Bob Marley to calm the space. I held the flame in proximity to the mesh and began my slow inhale. Held for thirty then exhaled. Inhaled again held, then exhaled. Deciding that two wasn't enough I struggled to take a third, do to the visuals distorting the pipe. While holding my third hit I began to notice my heart felt like it was beating out of my chest, filling me with anxiety. But then suddenly there was no heart beat at all, there was no physical me. I noticed a blanket of fractals in the distance. I accelerated forward entering a new space. I was surrounded by this hyper-dimensional forest that had this transcending familiarity to it. This forest was filled with Aztec looking entities made of gold and red light. These beings brought me on a journey that has become hard to remember. Despite the mind blowing aspects of hyperspace the craziest part of the trip was opening my eyes after coming down. I instantly looked at my friend who at this time looked like a cartoon character with saturated colors and a posterized appearance. I then looked up toward the sky and the stars where brighter than ever. The stars in my periphery began to fall as if I was traveling up into space at the speed of light. The stars were alive moving freely about the sky. But then my attention was drawn to the water surrounding the marina. The river flickered with various colors of light. I felt fully networked within nature. The trees, stars, River, and me were all connected on a higher level of reality. At this point I am filled with complete bliss giggling with emotion. I began to recognize the ironic song playing in the background,"Is this love" by Bob Marley, and I was convinced it was. The experience slowly faded from then on but I will never forget that crazy feeling of my first trip and becoming one with the earth. Since then I have had a handful of mixed trips some beautiful and some scary but nothing has yet to compare to the wildness of that first journey.
