What is your most memorable moment that you can always look back on and smile?

Winning.

This one time, when I was pretty new at work, some of the guys were dicking around with 2" square bits of sticky blank paper that comes in partially stuck to our load. Game was to stick it on another persons back without them noticing.

So anyhow, with this in the background we were chatting about what call signs we might use for each other over the PA... I ended up saying Toro, because I was big into red bull at the time and it was kinda close to my name. Later on, one of the better team members got me with a sticker - but it wasn't blank, it had "tora tora tora" on it.

That made me just a little bit unhappy.

So I said that I'd get him back, and with some of the other guys I mentioned how the moment would appear sometime during the night, and all I would have to do would be reach out and take it.

So through the rest of the night me and this other guy were literally watching our backs around each other, for the most part I was just trying to psych him out, get him to slip up through nervousness. He got me with another sticker, yeah, but that wasn't the game I was playing. All I needed to do was get one on him.

The night progressed. And it continued... And we got to the end of the shift.

Here's where he tried a bit if a tricky one... There were some stairs that I was standing next to, and he was up them a bit - and he tried to drop a sticker onto my back, one where he's written "I win" on it. It missed, I saw it, and picked it up. No opportunity presented itself.

So we were all still having a yarn as we moved a bit further towards the exit, and it ended up being that the guys were standing around in a circle, with my opponent standing next to me. Of course we were both still quite aware of the game, and I was paying very close attention to him...

I think he tried to go for one last victory, because he glanced off to the left when I was to his right - he hoped to lure in the attempt, then catch me in the act and prove I was shit. But the psyching had worked - he underestimated me.

Fluid motion of hand, which had his "I win" sticker still in it. Slight rotation of the wrist, with a bit of a downward motion - it caught on his shirt. Then fast as possible back to a neutral position, hand beside the waist. In the time he took to glance up the shop, he's been stickered.

Couldn't believe that I'd managed to avoid moving in his peripheral vision, so I still stared... And he moved off, heading up out of the store.

With a sticker saying "I win" in his own damn handwriting on his back.

Shared a moment with one of the guys who had seen it... And fuck was I satisfied with that result.
