What is your most memorable game?

[[Volrath the Fallen]].

At the start of Turn 4, I have two Swamps, a [[Thespian's Stage]], a Sol Ring, a [[Fleetfeather Sandals]] and a [[Phyrexian Rager]] playing defence.

I'm ready.

  • Tap swamp, [[Lake of the Dead]] saccing tapped swamp, Volrath.
  • Equip sandals, swing, discard [[Draco]]. Groans and laughs as the Ayli player goes out.

More laughs the following turn when I play [[Phyrexian Reclamation]]. Someone instantly kills it, but not before I pull Draco back to hand. Another swing, another player out.

The final player casts [[Tamiyo, the Moon Sage]] from their mostly-full hand, tapping Volrath. I figure I've just played kingmaker as the Rager isn't gonna be doing much by itself at this point.

Except my topdeck is [[Dark Depths]]. Thespian's Stage and the sandals mean a 20/20 hasty flying indesructible beatstick goes straight to the face.

At this point they concede. They did have an out in just switching to tapping Lage, since I don't have any way of repeating the Draco trick and they still have 20 life, but the sheer ridiculousness of the magical christmasland setup to that point was enough to just call it there and set up for a new game. Which I lost, thoroughly.
