What is your take on the Spice Girls anno 2023?

Teen pop groups never age well because their fan base eventually grows older and thus loses interest. That's the reason hardly anyone cares about any boy or girl band 5 years past their peak.

Still, the Spice Girls, despite being this massive cultural phenomenom back in the 1990s, are quite forgotten. In fact, Oasis, who were defeated commercially by the Spice Girls in the brink of an eye, nowadays amount far more streams than the Spice Girls.

I also think the Spice Girls and the Backstreet Boys were never in direct competition because by 1999 the enthusiasm for the Spice Girls had worn out and the Backstreet Boys had far more popularity in the United States, whereas the girl band was more popular in the UK and Europe.
