I like making voting a holiday, but I think it would be better to keep it on a weekday.

no way. there are people who need these accommodations.
- Everyone gets a federal ID and they must show it to vote
there's no reason to have this, as election fraud of this type is very rare. if for some reason it would help in some states, ideally someone could obtain an ID like this for free at the polls, like how same day voter registration works in Wisconsin & some other states.
- After they vote, they must dip their finger into indelible ink so that they can't vote again.
why on earth would anyone need to do this? seems like a bizarre solution for a problem that doesn't exist.
