What is your personal ranking of the Arctic Monkeys studio albums?

In order from least favorite to best and why, here's my ranking:

  1. Suck It and See - It just feels so uninspired. It's the only AM album I listen to and can't tell when one song ends and another begins because it's so homogeneous. I don't hate it, there are plenty of highlights but it just feels so middle of the road. Fave Tracks: Hellcat, Reckless Serenade, Piledriver Waltz, Love is a Laserquest

  2. Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not - I guess I don't believe the hype because this has never been my favorite AM album. It's by no means bad, I just don't find it as amazing as everyone else does. I love so much about it but when it comes down to it, it just isn't the best. Fave Tracks: A Certain Romance, Mardy Bum, View from the Afternoon

  3. Favourite Worst Nightmare - Honestly these last three are almost interchangeable. I love how heavy everything is on this record. Musically, I don't feel it's very different from their debut but it's still so much better. Fave Tracks: 505, Only Ones Who Know, Do Me a Favour

  4. AM - My gateway drug into the world of Arctic Monkeys. I pretended for years that this album was shit because of all the Tumblr fans. Now, I have finally accepted this record as the masterpiece for what it is. There will be very few alternative rock records this decade that will be remembered and as highly regarded as AM. Fave Tracks: Knee Socks, No. 1 Party Anthem, R U Mine?

  5. Humbug - I can't put into words how brilliant this record is. I'm not even a QOTSA fan in any way, but this album is just something else. It's the band at their most beautiful and their most terrifying. Fave Tracks: Cornerstone, Pretty Visitors, Secret Door

I don't jam The Last Shadow Puppets enough to know where they rank along these, but the Submarine EP would be somewhere between the top 3.
