I was watching Mulan one night (December 2016), and crying at the reflection scene as usual. So started to wonder why that scene always got me emotional - suddenly it just hit me.

That night everything fell into place. I told myself I'd think on it for a year before doing anything or telling anyone but a few close friends - I got to May before I ended up telling work because it was impacting my performance.

That night so much made sense, and since then I've been so much happier. Turns out more than a few friends weren't surprised and knew before I did - however my favourite reaction was a my best friend saying "oooooooh, that explains the heels!" In reference to my stating it was unfair it wasn't socially acceptable for men to wear heels earlier in the month. :-P
