What is your recruitment process?

I redesigned my entire recruitment process to focus on character. I don't have any more specific job applications. The job application is 80% a character test and 20% a skill/interest test; when we have candidates of high character we then try to find them a good fitting role. So people don't really apply to be CFO or Financial Director or Accountant or Customer Support Representative or whatever. They apply to us for the character screener first. It took me nearly 4 years to get it right. Now, I know what to look for. But when I first started my company? Holy mango, did I screw up on recruiting. I used to think prestige, pedigree, charm, etc. mattered. I don't anymore. Some of the most charming people are abusive to their peers and direct reports, while being charming to their superiors. Cunning people don't belong in my company beyond marketing and we use agencies for that.
