What is your roomate, or caretaker/landord horror story?

I only just resolved this situation yesterday, so it's all still quite fresh.

At the start of the year, I moved into a house with two strangers, Ann and Rob. Ann and I became fast friends, sharing most meals together and even going on a few weekend trips. Neither of us really clicked with Rob, who was about ten years older and had a thing for saying deliberately provocative and upsetting things to us and anyone we brought over, in the hopes of getting someone to react to him. He'd also fly off the handle at the smallest disagreement, to a point where Ann and I felt skittish and nervous just being in the same room as him.

At this point, things were bad but generally tolerable, until last weekend when Ann and I decided to invite him out to a bar with us, thinking that maybe his volatility was a result of him feeling isolated, and that including him in our social lives might help. I went home around midnight, and was woken up at 4am by Ann coming home, bruised and crying, saying that Rob had cornered her down a side street while they were walking home, attacked her and tried to chase her for several blocks after she overpowered him and got away (Rob's pretty small, about her height, and Ann's a former competitive kickboxer).

She didn't feel comfortable filing a police report (the process for reporting a sex crime is pretty intense and she was in a really bad state of mind, so I didn't press her), so I called in some favours in the morning and got her into emergency counselling and found her a place to stay. I called our landlord, who said the soonest Rob could be evicted would be in seven days.

Having exhausted all my options to get Ann a place to stay, I ended up having to live in the same house as Rob for that whole week, constantly on edge. I'd try and head to work around 7am and come home after midnight, but I still ended up running into him a few times and having to swallow the urge to either hit him, or run to my room and lock myself in. Every time I saw him that week he was drunk and unapologetic, and I just did my best to ignore him and keep out of his way.

He left with the rest of his things yesterday, so Ann's moving back in tonight. It was an especially shitty situation since Ann had to leave her last house due to sexual harassment from her live-in landlord, who woke her up once by biting her upper thigh(???) and she was hoping to find some kind of stability and safety here.
