What was your school's 'incident'?

Oof. So I'm coming into the fold pretty late but... We had a few.

My district was highly regarded as one of the best places to go to school in the country. Between the 70's-90's it recieved all the rewards, atleast a handfull of perfect SAT scores per year, shoved out a famous actor or two. Each year we still saw a perfect SAT or two, but I got to witness some extremely sad and interesting stuff.

I became friends with a graduate of my highschool when I was still going there. He was a troubled guy, his family did some pretty messed up stuff, but he was going through all the "right" channels. He communicated regularly with me and a few of my friends, almost clockwork, and one day he just didn't. He was so habitual that him being more than 5 minutes late to text was weird. So for a whole evening we didn't hear a word. The next morning I go to school and get pulled into the counselors office with a police officer present. They kind've let me know that I can talk to my counselor without the police present but they would come try to talk to me later. I was confused as hell until they told me what happened. Apparently, he just...lost it? He attacked his social worker, stabbed his mother multiple times when she discovered what was happening and begged him to stop (she survived...barely) then he took a chain saw to the social worker. She was fresh outta college and genuinely cared about him. Selfish as it is.....it really fucked me and a few of my friends up. Didnt plan on going so in depth with that, sorry.

A very well known and well liked biology teacher got busted for prostitution. Another student drowned during a flash flood, while his little brother was still attending school there. There were a few other things, but yeah I got to witness and experience some crazy things.
