The greatest teacher I ever had was my highschool history teacher. I was on the fast track into the sciences, but took a "bullshit" history course because it was supposed to be an easy A+. I ended up in the classroom of a man whose lectures sounded like freaking Game of Thrones, he was so passionate about it. I absorbed more about Henry VIII beheading his wives than any other class I was in that year, and justice in history in particular fascinated me. Battles, wars, kings, queens, generals, great empires leading to what we have today... hell, even the culture around sex in history is interesting. Almost a decade later and I got into an Ivy League law school and working in legal for a very renowned multi-national corporation. All because one history teacher was passionate about his job and made it interesting for us.
