What is your "teacher style"? (clothes, not methods)

I'm a lady but work in an area that is warm a decent part of the year (not as warm/humid as FL, but where is?) and most of the male teachers wear either more casual clothes (jeans, shorts, T-shirts -the coaches in athletic gear sometimes, etc) or business casual (slacks and a polo, short sleeved dress shirt) in the warmer months. Some male teachers wear a long-sleeved shirt and tie/vest/etc every day. Some of the older ones have distinctive styles (bow ties! seventies pants! whatev) that you never see them out of. Some of the younger ones have a distinctive hipster style (I work with 2 who I've never seen outside of their skinny jeans).

Err on the side of a little more dressy (but not full suit nonsense) at first and see how your school is. The kids will only really notice if you wear something wild or have a distinctive style (in a good or bad way) and even then, in my experience, besides the confidence (or lack thereof) it gives you, it doesn't impact teaching much at all. Some Principals care. But very, very few, in my experience.
